Curicyn Announces Expansion Into Puerto Rico WalMarts with Pet First Aid Kit

Curicyn, an animal wound care company based in Ashford, AL is excited to announce its expansion into Puerto Rico through a strategic partnership with WalMart’s exclusive distributor, BCF Group Inc. Following their commitment to the continued development and expansion of the Curicyn product line for animals and their caretakers around the world, the expansion into Puerto Rico was a logical step for the company. A study by Chamber of Marketing, Industry and Food Distribution (MIDA) revealed that 48% of Puerto Rican households have pets, translating to approximately 643,000 pet-owning homes.

The decision to offer Curicyn’s Pet Care Kit, a first aid kit for dogs, cats, and other household pets in Puerto Rico was due to the number of pet owners, coupled with the challenges posed by the increased natural disasters to the island community. National Sales and Marketing Director, Joni Steward says “With almost half of all households in Puerto Rico having pets, the need for a comprehensive, affordable first aid kit readily available to the general public made partnering with Manuel Cao of BCF Group Inc. an obvious choice.” Mr. Cao’s company is the sole distributor for WalMart Puerto Rico, and he also agreed with Mrs. Steward on the importance of connecting Curicyn’s kit with Puerto Rican consumers.

The kit itself contains 2 oz. sizes of Curicyn’s Original Formula Wound Spray, Eye Care Solution, and BodyGuard Fly & Flea Repellent, a 1 oz. Wound Care Clay, and more than 3020 additional first aid items packed together in a lightweight, convenient carrying case. Designed to provide first aid care for pets at home or when traveling, it is an essential tool for every pet parent, animal owner, and animal welfare worker to keep handy. It allows pet owners the ability to manage illnesses and injuries on the spot or in the case of more serious injuries, buys valuable time until veterinary care can be sought. It also includes a Pet Care Kit “Emergency” Manual to make it easy for anyone to understand how to use the kit in the event of an emergency. The entire kit is TSA carry-on approved, making air travel with pets easy and convenient.

The kit is available in WalMart stores across Puerto Rico. Plans are in discussion for carrying individual Curicyn wound care items, with the potential for their smaller First-Aid Trial Kit, Curicyn’s  ‘new’ Wound Care Wipes, and other products to be available in the future.
