Get Ready for Global Pet Expo 2024

Known as the pet industry’s premier event featuring the newest, most innovative pet products on the market today, the Global Pet Expo takes place in Orlando every Spring. Curicyn will again be in attendance this year at booth #2841. In addition to showcasing the entire Curicyn product line, DuraCloud by Curicyn Orthopedic Pet Beds, Allesorb Pet Training Pads and our ChillBusterVET warming system, we’ll also be there to listen and learn about all the exciting new innovations in the pet industry.

The trade show is open daily starting at 9 AM on Wednesday, March 20, and runs through 3 PM Friday, March 22, with education sessions starting a day earlier on Tuesday also lasting throughout the week. There’s a new products showcase, more than 1,100 companies attending, over 1,000 new products launched, and 300 first-time exhibitors we’re excited to see and meet all week. While the show itself has a busy schedule, one of the most impressive things about the Curicyn booth is that it’s staffed by the two founders themselves! Even with their busy travel schedule, responsibilities, and commitments to other global companies and brands, their commitment to their Curicyn brand shows through and through.

Recently, Joni and John sat down with the marketing team to answer some questions on what makes Curicyn so special and why the brand and attending the Global Pet Expo is so important to them.

Meet Joni & John

Joni and John attend Global Pet annually and staff the booth themselves so that they can interact with customers. Let’s hear more about what Global Pet means to them and what they look forward to this year.

When did you first attend Global Pet?

Is Curicyn your only company?

No, we are involved in several other companies and projects individually and together, so we’re always working on something new or different. John’s responsibiliies span from global production, medical, surgical and protective products. While Joni is involved in the home textile industry in which she designs and sell to many large retailers, even in the pet industy. We’re pretty unique that way, but we love our pets, and Curicyn will always be a focus for us regardless of the other things we have going on. 

Why do you attend the show yourself rather than staff with team members? Isn’t it a big-time commitment?

Yes, it absolutely is a huge commitment. Between booth updates, printed materials, product shipping, displays, and setup and breakdown, the entire show takes up much more than a week to prepare for and follow up from. It sounds crazy when you think of all of that for a three-day trade show, but for us, it’s worth interacting with people across the pet industry, including current and new customers and even brands.

What’s your favorite part about Global Pet?

That’s hard to say, as this show has so many great aspects. The New Product Showcase is always fun, and so is walking around the trade show floor on breaks to meet other products and brands. But above all else, we really enjoy seeing our customers and getting a chance to say hello face to face and hear about how their businesses and pets are doing! The people make Global Pet Expo great and a big part of why we attend in person every year.

What’s your least favorite part about Global Pet?

That’s easy – the booth breakdown and heading home after the show. It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it because for us, it’s not just about growing the business. We know that the more people we can teach about Curicyn products, the more animals we can help be healthy and thrive, and that’s why we love this business and industry so much.

What’s your favorite product?

Joni – “I adore our DuraCloud Pet Bed not just because I designed them, but because they’re orthopedic and incredibly comfortable to stand or sit on during breaks at the show! The are not just for our four-legged family members. We designed them becuase of my German Sheperd who was having issues when she got older. It was her go-to bed. Also, I’m fond of our Allesorb Premium Pet Training Pads; they boast extra absorbency and feature a white, non-skid, leak-resistant bottom layer. Additionally, we developed a biodegradable pet pads that we aim to launch by the end of the year.”
John – “I would have to say my favorite product is the Original Formula. The effectiveness is what propelled this company forward, and it’s what put Curicyn on the map. The formula has been used to create a wide range of products. It’s incredibly effective for all animals, whether they’re small or large, furry or scaly, on farms, with livestock, poultry, or pets. What’s remarkable is that it never causes stinging or burning, nor does it irritate healthy skin. Moreover, it aids in healing injuries and issues faster than any other product available. It is accessible to pet and animal owners everywhere, and the best part is, it’s affordable too!”

What’s next for Curicyn?
